JBS Dance, formerly the Jean Butterworth School of Dancing offers dance classes for boys and girls from 18 months old to professional levels.
Dance classes can be taken in Classical Ballet, Character, Pointe Work, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Limbering, Musical Theatre, Commercial, Acro, Contemporary and Pilates. Adult dance classes are also available in Ballet, Pilates, Yoga and Ballroom/Salsa.
Nursery classes exploring music & movement for the very young are followed by syllabus classes leading to graded examinations for 5-year-olds upwards and vocational examinations for seniors.
All classes are taken by qualified teachers in our own studios in Glebe Road, Tarring, Worthing, West Sussex, which are fitted with Harlequin sprung dance floors, ballet barres and full length mirrors.
Our dance studio complex has a private car park, changing rooms and a dance shop on site.
We also put on a school show every two years and regularly take part in festivals, competitions and charity work.
At JBS, we are more than just a dance school – we are a family.
